Values are the things we believe in, the ideals, convictions and standards that we aspire to.

We have 12 core values that guide us.

Spirit-led: We desire the Holy Spirit to lead all our activity. This includes spontaneity of praise and worship, the operation of spiritual gifts, and experience of the personal presence and power of God. Especially important to us is listening to the Lord for guidance versus depending on mere human strategies. Nearly all times of worship, teaching, etc. are begun in prayer asking the Holy Spirit to lead us. (Romans 8:14, John 16:13)

Bible-based: Understanding that Jesus is Lord and seeking to establish His Lordship in our personal lives, as well as in our community, we desire God’s Word to be the standard for all facets of our personal and church life. We believe the Bible is the only inspired word of God, without error, and the final authority for all our faith and practice. (John 1:1, 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Praise and Worship: Praise is our entrance into the presence of God. (Psalm 100:4). Worship is our response to His presence. (John 4:23-24).True praise and worship that is Spirit led is vital to the life of our church body. We seek to praise and worship our Lord according to the Biblical pattern. (Acts 24:14).

Evangelism focused: Jesus came to this earth to seek and save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10). We believe Jesus came to die on the cross of Calvary so that the world could be born again and saved. If the church fails to maintain a vision beyond itself by not reaching out to the lost, then the church has failed to be the church. (Acts 1:8). We believe every Christian has a responsibility to lead others to Christ.

Prayer: Following the example of Jesus, we seek to “pray without ceasing”. Apart from prayer we cannot know God’s mind and direction. Constant communication with the Father is a major focus of our church life. (Mark 1:35, I Thessalonians 5:17, Colossians 4:2).

Family-centered: Marriages need encouragement. Children need attention. The family unit needs nurture. In our day, families have come under major attack from Satan and the world. Because of the needs of our society, families are a major priority for us. (Genesis 2:18-25, Psalm 127:1-3, Mark 10:13-16).

Spiritual growth: When Jesus is Lord of our lives, His character will be developed in us. We believe He seeks to continually work in our lives in order to conform us to His likeness. We will become like Jesus in the way we think, feel, speak, and act as we mature spiritually. (Romans 12:1-2)

World missions. We believe in the great commission Jesus Christ gave to His church. (Matthew 28:18-20). We seek to obey Christ’s command of spreading the gospel around the globe. We support a variety of mission endeavors, and encourage our members to be personally involved by participating in short and long-term mission projects.

Relationships: We believe the Christian walk is about relationships. First we desire to be in right relationship with our Lord. He will always guide His children to be in right relationships with others. (John 13:34-35, I Timothy 2:8).

Community: We believe that Jesus wants His church to function as a unified community of servants with all members utilizing their spiritual gifts in Spirit-led and anointed ministry. We believe every member is an important part of the body equipped by God to serve in God’s kingdom. We want to care like Jesus cares, love like Jesus loves, and serve like Jesus serves in order to meet the needs of others. (Romans 12:3-8, I Corinthians 12-14).

Excellence: God’s word instructs us to do everything to the glory of God and to do our work with all our heart as working for the Lord, not men. Therefore, we desire to maintain the highest of ministry standards that glorify our Lord. (I Corinthians 6:20, Colossians 3:23-24).

Stewardship: We believe we are to be good stewards of all that God has blessed us with, including our time, talents, money, and all other resources. We know that God will one day judge us according to our stewardship. We desire to put to kingdom use all that God has entrusted to our care. (Luke 12:42-48, I Peter 4:10,I Corinthians 4:1-2).

“Our mission is to love Jesus first and lead others to love Him.”
